Anglicare Southern Queensland is an Anglican non-profit organisation providing caring, supportive services in partnership with government and other support organisations to respond to community needs. Anglicare Southern Queensland (ABN 87 813 355 862) is a Public Benevolent Institution and an Income Tax Exempt Charity.

The following wording can be used as a guide for the Will wording but does not constitute legal advice and independent legal advice should be obtained.

Suggested wording  

“I give and bequeath the sum of $_____(or the rest and residue of my estate) to THE CORPORATION OF THE SYNOD OF THE DIOCESE OF BRISBANE for the benefit of Anglicare Southern Queensland (ABN 87 813 355 862) of service and the receipt of the Diocesan Registrar shall be a sufficient discharge to my executor or trustee”

Residuary Bequest

To bequeath a percentage (%) of your estate

I give and bequeath to Anglicare Southern Queensland (ABN 87 813 355 862), registered office Webber House, 439 Ann Street -  Brisbane, Queensland, ___percent of my estate, free from all duties, to be applied in such a manner as its directors may determine.

I direct that the receipt of a proper officer of Anglicare Southern Queensland shall constitute a full and sufficient discharge to my executors and trustees.

Pecuniary Bequest

To bequeath a specific amount from your estate

I give and bequeath to Anglicare Southern Queensland (ABN 87 813 355 862) registered office Webber House, 439 Ann Street -  Brisbane, Queensland, ___percent of my estate, free from all duties, to be applied in such a manner as its directors may determine.

I direct that the receipt of a proper officer of Anglicare Southern Queensland shall constitute a full and sufficient discharge to my executors and trustees.

Specific Bequest

To bequeath a specific item (property or other) from your estate

I give and bequeath to Anglicare Southern Queensland (ABN 87 813 355 862), registered office Webber House, 439 Ann Street -  Brisbane, Queensland, the following items of property

The Corporation of the Synod of the Diocese of Brisbane is the legal entity which administers Anglicare Southern Queensland. The Corporation is incorporated under the Church of England Act 1895 and the General Manager is the proper person to receive monies on behalf of the Corporation.
