How your support helps us to help others

Contributions to Anglicare Southern Queensland (ABN 39 906 010 979), in the form of donations, major gifts and bequests, help us to extend our reach and deliver services to people most in need.   

Through your generosity we are able to help people directly as well as improve and enhance the ability to deliver programs through the refurbishment and construction of facilities and the acquisition of equipment.

To ensure we achieve maximise the impact of your gift, a proportion of each donation is typically used to help:

  • Anglicare Southern Queensland projects
  • build more support through fundraising campaigns
  • meet the essential expenses including prudential and statutory compliance charges that charities must pay.

Your support enables us to continue our long term commitment to vital community projects including:

  • Children and youth services
  • Homelessness services for women and children
  • Mental health and social inclusion
  • Regional and disability services
  • Counselling and education cervices
  • Residential aged care services
  • Home visits to help the aged and frail

Management of Funds
Anglicare Southern Queensland takes its fiduciary responsibility and its commitment to supporting its services very seriously.

Anglicare Southern Queensland is advised by Commissioners who provide overall strategic direction. The legal entity which administers Anglicare Southern Queensland is the Synod of the Corporation of the Anglican Diocese of Brisbane. The Corporation is incorporated under the Church of England Act 1895 and the General Manager is the proper person to receive monies under the Corporation. Various committees monitor the financial performance and distribution of funds.

Anglicare Southern Queensland is subject to an annual, independently audited review to ensure standard accounting procedures and accountability to all financial supporters.

The General Manager of the Anglican Diocese of Brisbane ensures that the distribution of the funds is in accordance with the express wishes of the donor.
