Client liaison

The role of a Client Liaison Officer at Positive Directions is to address the broader social determinants* surrounding the health of a person living with HIV/AIDS (PLHIV).

Our team of Client Liaison Officers work with PLHIV and service providers on psychosocial issues based on person-centred principles. In consultation with our Community Nurses and the Positive Directions’ support team, our Client Liaison Officers are focussed on delivering best practice services.

Positive Directions has Client Liaison Officers in its Brisbane, Cairns, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast and Townsville offices.

*The Determinants of Health was created by the World Health Organisation (1999) and is concerned with the impact of living and working circumstances, and lifestyle choices. There are nine key determinants of health:

  2. Stress
  3. Social exclusion
  4. Work and employment
  5. Unemployment
  6. Social support
  7. Drug use and its impact upon health
  8. Food and nutrition
  9. Transport
