Nestled within our leafy campus at Taigum, St Martin’s features landscaped gardens and a range of recreational facilities. Extending across three integrated wings, with one dedicated to accommodating residents with dementia and wandering tendencies, St Martin’s offers caring residential aged care services to people with high care needs.
About St Martin's Community
Each wing of the Taigum campus includes a communal area for both living and dining. Residents are afforded ample in-room storage; including wardrobe, chest of drawers and shelving space.
The property features dedicated dining and living areas as well as a large community hall where many group activities take place.
Our diversional therapists co-ordinate a broad variety of activities in conjunction with the residents of Symes Grove. There is an active craft group and our music therapist conducts both individual and group sessions for the benefit of our residents.
St Martin’s and Symes Grove have many bilingual staff and cater for residents whose first language is not English. Frequent visitors from a variety of cultural backgrounds enable residents to keep in touch with their own languages through conversation and interaction.
There is a weekly Anglican liturgy and a Roman Catholic priest and representatives from other denominations visit the Taigum facility regularly. Anglicare Southern Queensland provides spiritual and pastoral carers to support both residents and their families.
