2014 Rental Affordability Snapshot

Each year in April, Anglicare agencies across Australia survey local newspapers and real estate websites for rental accommodation affordability and appropriateness for people on low incomes. This year is the 5th year it has been carried out nationally under the leadership of Anglicare Australia, and each year Anglicare Southern Queensland has provided a mini report to this joint project.

In 2014 around 62,000 rental properties were surveyed by Anglicare agencies across Australia.

This year, Anglicare Southern Queensland has also released this additional report outlining the more detailed findings from the snapshot survey completed for the Brisbane metropolitan region.

The full national report is available from the Anglicare Australia website: www.anglicare.asn.au

The Brisbane metropolitan detailed findings can also be downloaded here: AnglicareSQ snapshot 2014.

2013 Rental Affordability Snapshot

Anglicare surveyed about 56,000 rental properties across Australia for its annual Rental Affordability Snapshot and found that the supply of affordable rentals for people on low incomes was at rock bottom.
